It was on a Friday, 13th. A record with a half weird cover, showing a shapeless figure that looked like a witch or a haunted figure. The album’s name was the same as the band’s and the opening track: Black Sabbath. The same title as a 1936 horror movie directed by Mario Brava. Formed by Ozzy Osbourne (voice), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums), the quartet changed the history of rock, giving rise to a new kind of music, which would come to be known as heavy metal.
