NASA Astronaut Colour Changing Mug

How do astronauts drink their coffee? Sure, the most obvious answer would be “from closed plastic containers with straws”. But this isn’t quite the case anymore: in 2008, the astronaut Don Pettit had enough of the plastic bag coffee and designed an acute container so astronauts could finally drink coffee in space without using a straw.
Fortunately, we gravity-grabbed citizens of Earth don’t need anything as complicated. But for those looking for ways to experience being in space, this mug is fun…

This officially licensed NASA Astronaut Colour Changing Mug is based on an astronaut’s space suit: the “shoulders” of the suit are decorated with the NASA logo and the American flag, while the handle of the mug looks like an oxygen tube leading into the helmet. The helmet is the highlight! Black in its cool state, it changes colour with hot fluids and reveals a mirror image of Earth’s surface in its visor. When the mug cools down, the visor turns dark again.
