Premiering in 2008 and adapted from the original Fullmetal Alchemist manga series, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an anime series that was conceived in order to create a faithful adaptation that directly follows the entire storyline of the manga, after 2003’s Fullmetal Alchemist strayed from the original storyline.

The series follows the story of two alchemist brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who want to restore their bodies after a disastrous failed attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy.
